萬向聯(lián)軸器采用十字軸承聯(lián)接兩端聯(lián)接法蘭，可以傳遞完全不在同一軸線的扭矩，對角向的補(bǔ)償可達(dá)25?以上，采用花鍵聯(lián)接可以大距離地補(bǔ)償軸向位移。萬向軸承載能力高，傳動效率優(yōu)異，在現(xiàn)代工業(yè)領(lǐng)域被廣泛采用。

SWP十字萬向聯(lián)軸器采用剖分式叉頭布局，與SWC十字萬向聯(lián)軸器使用的場合相近，主要運(yùn)用在重載大型裝備領(lǐng)域，回轉(zhuǎn)直徑可達(dá)1200mm。

SWC十字萬向聯(lián)軸器采用整體式叉頭布局，主要用于軋鋼機(jī)械，起重運(yùn)輸機(jī)械等其他重型裝備領(lǐng)域，回轉(zhuǎn)直徑可到1600mm，扭矩傳遞距離可達(dá)30m以上，是運(yùn)用相當(dāng)廣泛的萬向聯(lián)軸器。

萬向節(jié)聯(lián)軸器的不同軸可能是徑向位移，傾斜或兩者兼而有之。測量同軸度應(yīng)在十字軸萬向聯(lián)軸器端面和圓周上均勻分布的四個位置進(jìn)行。十字軸式萬向聯(lián)軸器聯(lián)接的機(jī)泵在安裝過程中都不可避免地要進(jìn)行同軸度的調(diào)整，使對輪既同心又平行，否則將影響機(jī)泵使用效率或造成設(shè)備運(yùn)行事故。

扭矩聯(lián)軸器是聯(lián)接主動機(jī)與工作機(jī)的一種部件，主要功能為過載保護(hù)，力矩聯(lián)軸器是當(dāng)超載或機(jī)械故障而導(dǎo)致所需扭矩超過設(shè)定值時，它以打滑形式限制傳動系統(tǒng)所傳動的扭力，打滑的同時也能一個信號輸出停掉電機(jī)和減速機(jī)，當(dāng)過載情形消失后自行恢復(fù)聯(lián)結(jié)。
