靠背輪聯(lián)軸器用來將不同機(jī)構(gòu)中的主動(dòng)軸和從動(dòng)軸牢固地聯(lián)接起來一同旋轉(zhuǎn)，并傳遞運(yùn)動(dòng)和扭矩的機(jī)械部件。有時(shí)也用以聯(lián)接軸與其他零件（如齒輪、帶輪等）。

靠背輪常由兩半合成，分別用鍵或緊配合等聯(lián)接，緊固在兩軸端，再通過某種方式將兩半聯(lián)接起來。
